The store offers refillable hygiene, cleaning and laundry products. Locally sourced items, like coconut sponges, beeswax wraps and bamboo toothbrushes, are also available.

Customers can refill their own containers or use donated glass jars. The store makes it easy for people to try eco friendly products without feeling overwhelmed. Scarlett Arlt said small changes like using a coconut sponge instead of a plastic one, are a simple way to start living sustainably.

The store is also focused on education and community support. People can ask questions and learn about sustainable living without judgment. The location in downtown Cheney encourages locals to shop nearby and explore refillable options.

Scarlett and Ash moved to Cheney in 2020 for a supportive community and legal protections for their queer family. Scarlett’s chronic illness inspired a wheelchair accessible and flexible store. The business allows her to contribute on days she feels well while still connecting with customers.

Evergreen Refillery prioritizes the well being of the community and the planet over profits. The goal is to break even but the main focus is to teach and inspire locals about reducing waste and making eco friendly choices.
