Silver Muse Reopens Following Drydock and Capacity Growth

The refurbishment featured a major berth extension that raised the ship's capacity by about 7%, as Cruise Industry News previously reported.

The 2017-built ship can now accommodate 632 persons at double occupancy thanks to the addition of larger suites to make place for smaller cabins on decks 9, 10, and 11.

Originally designed to accommodate 596 passengers the Silver Muse was the first ship in a series that also included the Silver Moon and the Silver Dawn.

S.A.L.T. a "pioneering culinary experience" is one of the ship's other unique features according to Silversea.

The speciality venue took the place of Indochine, the ship's previous Asian restaurant, and featured rotating meals inspired by the places being visited.

New technical rooms were created by reducing the ship's La Dolce Vita main dining room as part of the drydock.

During the drydock at the Fincantieri shipyard in Palermo Italy Silversea also performed normal work class inspections and routine maintenance.

The Silver Muse welcomed visitors again on December 14, 2025, when it sailed from the Italian port of Civitavecchia for a seven-night trip to the Western Mediterranean. The ship was scheduled to spend the winter cruising in Europe and the Atlantic Islands.

Valencia, Barcelona, Genoa, Marseille, and other locations in Spain, Italy, and France were on the itinerary.

The Muse, which currently sails between Barcelona and Lisbon, is now providing a vacation cruise via Morocco, Iberia, and the Canary Islands.

A visit to Funchal on December 31, 2025, where the ship will stop for the town's New Year's Eve fireworks show, is the highlight of the 14-night itinerary.
