Gems Trade, a regulated centralized exchange known for its advanced trading tools, has launched a new Baskets feature that allows users to buy or sell multiple cryptocurrencies in a single transaction.
Designed to simplify portfolio diversification, the feature offers exposure to key market segments such as Layer-1 networks, DeFi, gaming, and memecoins. By combining several trades into one execution, Baskets reduce the steps required to build and manage a multi-token portfolio, making the process more efficient.
Curated Token Sets with Direct Ownership
The Baskets feature groups selected tokens into themed sets, enabling one-click execution instead of placing individual orders. This approach can help minimize transaction steps and potentially reduce slippage.
Importantly, users retain direct ownership of each underlying asset within a Basket, rather than holding exposure through a pooled or index-style product. Each Basket is organized by sector or investment theme, allowing traders to gain diversified exposure without managing multiple separate trades.
The feature is now live and available to all Gems Trade account holders. The crypto marketplace has proven a lucrative opportunity for many institutional traders, with more than $1.5 billion being processed in spot trades every day. This level of volume indicates a diverse group of traders participating in this market.
To further the legacy of Baskets, Baskets will be the second iteration of the Gems Trade Exchange following their original launch. Not only will Baskets support the Gems Exchange, it will also allow for continued innovation of how to invest globally across multiple asset classes with a streamlined platform.
By expanding into Baskets, Baskets will now have easier access to thousands of crypto assets globally and enables more than 80% of institutional investors who use derivatives to manage their portfolios. While the Gems Exchange provides a central point of access for a trader's portfolio, many are challenged to manage exposure to several different sources of information and execute trades in a timely manner due to the many complexities of the current crypto ecosystem.
Omri Hanover of Gems Trade noted that managing a diversified crypto portfolio demands careful timing, ongoing research, and frequent position adjustments. “We recognized this challenge, which is why we created Baskets,” he said.
“Our goal is to give traders the tools they need to focus on strategy, not on repetitive and time-consuming operational tasks.”
