Officials Discuss Industry Cooperation

Syrian and Jordanian officials met to talk about improving trade and industry cooperation. The talks came before the Syriex exhibition in Amman this May.

The exhibition will show Syrian products from textiles, food processing, engineering and chemicals. It will help Syrian companies find new markets and sell more products abroad. The event will also give companies a chance to meet buyers, learn about new technologies and share ideas with other businesses.

Mohammad Ayman al-Molawi head of the Damascus and Countryside Chamber of Industry, met Jordan’s ambassador to Damascus, Sufyan al-Qudah. They discussed ways to make trade easier and improve the movement of goods between the two countries.

Officials talked about removing obstacles for traders and industrialists. Jordan said it supports efforts to make business and trade smoother. Syria said closer economic cooperation can build on the strong ties between the two nations. Both countries want to create long term plans for trade and industry growth.

The exhibition will start on May 21 and last for six days. It is organized with help from the Aleppo Chamber of Industry. Organizers hope the event will increase exports, strengthen business partnerships and create more jobs in both countries.

This meeting shows that Syria and Jordan want to grow their economies together. The exhibition is seen as an important step to promote industry, support companies and expand trade in the region.
