Fujitsu and Panasonic Expand Sustainability Project for Cleaner Future

Fujitsu and the Panasonic Group are working together on a new Sustainability project to lower carbon pollution across Panasonic’s supply chain.

The project will build a new system that tracks the carbon footprint of products. This means the companies will measure how much pollution is made when products are created, moved and used.

The work is being done with Panasonic Digital Co Ltd the IT business company of Panasonic Group.

Fujitsu said the platform will help Panasonic collect and manage carbon data from many group companies in one place. This will make the work faster and more organized.

The new system uses Fujitsu’s Sustainability Value Accelerator tool. The tool helps companies track environmental data and improve green business plans.

The platform will also help Panasonic follow new environmental rules in different countries. It can adjust when new products are added or when rules change in the future.

Another important part of the system is data sharing. The platform is built to work with global standards from the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. This will help different systems share information more easily.

Fujitsu also plans to add AI and smart data tools later. These tools may help companies find cleaner materials and build products that create less pollution.

The platform will support:

Carbon tracking

Environmental reports

Supply chain management

Sustainability planning

Fujitsu said the full system is expected to begin operation in April 2027.

Many companies around the world are now trying to reduce carbon emissions and protect the environment. Experts say digital tools like this may play a big role in helping businesses reach Sustainability goals in the coming years.
