Expo City Gives First Green Licences to Boost Sustainability

Expo City Dubai has given its first Green Licences to six companies. The move is a big step to support sustainability and green business in the United Arab Emirates.

The Green Licence helps businesses that work to protect the Earth. These companies focus on clean technology, waste recycling, saving water and cutting pollution.

The licence was made by Expo City Dubai and the UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism. It is part of the new Green Innovation District. The goal is to help more green businesses grow in the country.

The first six companies will get many benefits. They will receive help with business costs, expert advice and chances to work with other companies. The support package is worth more than AED 400,000.

To receive the licence a business must show that it cares for the environment. It must also prove that its products or services can help build a cleaner future.

UAE leaders said the new programme will bring more green ideas and new jobs. They believe it will also help the country reach its climate goals and build a stronger economy.

Expo City Dubai said this is only the start. More local and global businesses are expected to join the Green Innovation District in the future.

The new Green Licences show that the UAE wants to support smart ideas that protect nature while helping businesses grow.
