Tabasco, Mexico, will host the International Sustainability, Energy and Environment Convention (SOS26) from Aug 30 to Sept 5. The event will bring together business leaders, government workers, teachers and experts to talk about clean energy and caring for the environment.
The main part of the event will take place on Sept 3 and Sept 4 at the Villahermosa Convention Center. There will be more than 20 talks, group talks and learning sessions. More than 100 booths will also show new ideas and services from energy and environment groups.
The first day will focus on energy. Speakers will talk about oil and gas, new energy ideas and ways to deal with climate change. The second day will focus on sustainability. Topics will include clean water, green cities, tree planting, nature care and renewable energy.
The event will also look at the future of Mexico's energy industry and ways to build a cleaner future. People at the event will have chances to meet, share ideas and work together.
There will also be fun activities such as a 5 km race, tennis, padel and golf. These events are planned to help people make new friends and build strong partnerships.
State leaders hope SOS26 will become a yearly event. They also want Tabasco to be known as a top place for sustainability and energy talks in Mexico.
