MOSIP Sustainability Plan Grows With Help From Countries

MOSIP is working with countries to make its digital ID system stronger and last for many years. The group says countries should help build the system instead of only using it.

Ethiopia and Cambodia have worked with MOSIP to create new tools. These tools are now ready for other countries that use the open source platform.

Ethiopia helped build the Android Registration Client. This tool lets workers use Android tablets to register people in far away places. It helped speed up the work because Ethiopia already had strong skills in making Android apps.

Cambodia worked with MOSIP to build the Unified Login Portal for eSignet. The new tool helps people safely sign in to many government services with different security needs. Cambodia has not launched it yet but other MOSIP users can already use it.

MOSIP says these projects do more than add new tools. They also help local teams learn new skills. This means countries can take better care of their own digital ID systems in the future.

Leaders from MOSIP and Ethiopia say building local workers and strong tech teams is an important part of long term success. They believe countries will become less dependent on outside help as their skills grow.

MOSIP hopes more countries will join in and help improve the platform. The group says working together will make digital ID systems stronger, more useful and better for everyone.
