Hanwha expands building finance plans with Abu Dhabi

Hanwha Group is building stronger financial ties with Abu Dhabi. The company plans to work on digital banking, online payments and digital assets.

The plans were shared at the Abu Dhabi Investment Forum in Seoul on September 16.

Hanwha Life Insurance signed a deal with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office. The two sides will work together to build a digital finance system.

The deal will also help create stronger links between financial markets in South Korea and Abu Dhabi. The partners will look for new business and investment ideas.

Hanwha Investment and Securities also signed a deal with Abu Dhabi Global Market and Hana Financial Group.

The companies plan to improve payments between South Korea and Abu Dhabi. They will also work on money transfers and digital finance systems.

Digital assets are another key part of the plan. Hanwha wants to help build a system where digital assets can work across different platforms.

Abu Dhabi sees South Korea as an important partner. The UAE capital is interested in Korea's work in finance and digital technology.

Hanwha also wants to use Abu Dhabi as a base for more global financial work. The company said it wants to help create a stable digital asset market.

The new plans build on earlier talks between Hanwha and the UAE. Areas of interest include real world assets, supply chain finance, cross border payments and digital asset platforms.

The new partnerships could create more links between the South Korean and UAE financial markets. They also show the growing focus on digital finance in Abu Dhabi.
