Turkiye and Brazil deepen defence Industry cooperation

Turkiye has approved a new defence cooperation deal with Brazil. The agreement will help both countries work more closely in the defence industry.

The deal gives Turkiye and Brazil a legal framework for joint defence work. It covers the development, production, purchase and repair of defence products and services.

More defence projects

The agreement could lead to new joint defence projects. It also allows both sides to explore co production and technology sharing.

Turkiye and Brazil can also work on buying defence products from each other. The deal includes technical and supply support for defence projects.

The agreement is aimed at helping both countries improve their defence industries. It may also create new chances for defence companies in Turkiye and Brazil to work together.

Agreement signed in 2022

Türkiye and Brazil signed the agreement on March 25, 2022. Turkiye's parliament approved it on June 23 before it was sent for final approval.

Brazil completed its own approval process in 2025. The agreement was published in Brazil's official gazette on September 10.

Turkiye's presidential decision was signed on Thursday and published in the country's Official Gazette on Friday.

The latest step clears the way for closer defence industry ties between Turkiye and Brazil. Both countries can now explore more opportunities for joint projects and defence trade.
