China's police tech Industry grows with AI and robots

China’s police tech industry is growing fast as new tools are being made to help police keep people safe.

A public security tech expo in Lianyungang, Jiangsu, showed many of these new tools. The event ran from Sept 7 to 11.

One of the main displays was an AI robot dog. The robot can spot more than 200 types of danger. It can also fire a net to stop a person who may be carrying a weapon.

The robot was made by Chinese company Nexwise. The company says its robots have been sold to 30 cities in China. Its security tools are also sold in more than 20 countries.

The expo also showed a small aircraft made for police work. The ZR-028 can carry one person and fly at up to 100 km/h. It can be used for air patrols and rescue work.

Another tool uses a bright flashing light and a loud alarm to distract people during police action. It is made to stop threats without using an explosive blast.

AI is also being used to study faces. A system called MicroSense can study small face changes and body signs such as heart rate and breathing. Chinese police are using the system in some areas.

China is also making special tools to help police catch suspects. One device was made by a police officer after he was hurt during a fight with a man carrying a knife.

China’s spending on public security technology rose from 10.8 billion yuan in 2015 to 25.5 billion yuan in 2025 according to China Daily.

The expo shows how AI, robots and other new tools are becoming a growing part of China’s public security industry. Chinese companies are also looking to sell these tools in markets around the world.
